Q: What are some common PC games that are played?
A: Quake Live, TF2, Rocket League, Call of Duty, PUBG, Golf With Your Friends, CS:GO, Minecraft and many others!
Q: Do I need to bring an ethernet cable?
A: Yes, it does depend on your seat location and we will send out an email about what length you will need. The max length you will need is 35′.

Q: Should I pre-install my games?
A: You should install any of your favorite games. We suggest making sure your other games and operating system is up to date.
Q: Do I need to bring a wagon/dolly for my equipment?
A: There will be hotel carts to borrow but it is recommended to bring your cart or wagon.
Q: Who can bring a Chair to the event?
A: We provide standard hotel chairs. If you hold a VIP or Legend ticket you may bring your own chair. If you have a disability that requires a different chair please contact a staff member or info@lanallnight.com ahead of time.
Q: How many plugs/outlets does a BYOC seat get?
A: You will be allocated two outlets for your seat. Typically one for your monitor and another for your desktop.
Q: Can I bring a console into the BYOC?
A: It depends on the device. We only asset tag larger devices such as XBOX, Play Stations, Laptops, Desktops and Monitors. Smaller devices such as Nintendo Switches, Steam Decks, IPads can come and go into the event.
Q: What is the standard BYOC seat space?
A: A BYOC table is set up to be 2ft depth x 3ft width for your use.
Q: What is the standard dimensions of a BYOC table
A: The standard BYOC table that is shared between two users is 6ft wide x 2ft deep.
Q: Do I need to bring a power strip?
A: No, we provide a shared powerstrip. Additional powerstrips can cause a fire hazard or other issues.
Q: Should I be worried if I have a high power system?
A: If you have a high power system and think there might be an issue you can reach out to our staff and voice your concern.
Q: Can I sleep in the venue?
A: No sleeping in the BYOC or elsewhere in the convention area. We suggest you book a hotel room at the Great Wolf Lodge or at one of the nearby hotels.
Q: Where can I store my wagon during the event?
A: You will need to store your wagon under your table, in your car, or in your hotel room.
Q: How fast is the network?
A: We typically have a full 1Gb up and down. This can be dependent on other factors. We also have a cache on site to speed up game downloads.
Q: Can I bring a projector?
A: Yes, but keep in mind the power requirement and outlet allocation.
Q: Can I just play single player games in the BYOC?
A: You sure can! Tell us all about your travels and adventures with screenshots and wooops of victory!

Q: What games will the FGC room have?
A: We will have Street Fighter 5, King Of Fighters 15, Guilty Gear Strive, Smash Brother Ultimate, and Tekken 7. Be on the lookout for more from the community that brings setups to play games like SFxTK, MvC3, Third Strike, DNF Duel, KoF13, BlazBlue, and much more.

Q: What food is nearby?

Q: Can I bring my own drinks (soda, water, etc)?
A: Yes, but there are some limitations. No glass containers, loose ice, or outside alcohol.
Q: Can I do a large group order of food?
A: We suggest keeping the order size at max for 10 attendees. Larger size orders may cause concern from the venue.
Q: Can I bring alcohol?
A: The Great Wolf Lodge policy is no outside alcohol.
Q: Can I bring my own food or order food to the convention center?
A: Yes, please let the delivery drivers know to deliver to the conference center at the back of the hotel. Please be ready for when the food delivery driver arrives.
Q: Can I bring a cooler to the event?
A: Yes, but there are some limitations. No glass containers, loose ice, or alcohol. Also, make sure to respect your neighbor’s space.

Q: Can a minor attend the event without a guardian?
A: No, attendees up to the age of 15 will need full time adult supervision. Attendees 16 and 17 will need supervision onsite after 8 PM.

A: “LAN All NIGHT (the Dallas chapter of the national nonprofit organization, LANFest) is a charity gaming festival in the Dallas area held at the Great Wolf Lodge in Grapevine, Texas, benefiting north Texas area food banks.
At this festival, hundreds of gamers bring their own computers and game for 50+ hours straight, playing games and raising money and food donations for north Texas area food banks.

Q: How can I socialize at the event?
A: There are lots of contests and public activities to be a part of. Feel free to chat with anyone at the event and say hi to talk about your favorite games in the discord as well.
Q: Is there an event show?
A: We have a raffle each day and our big show will be Saturday Night at 8 PM! Don’t miss it!
Q: What other communities will be at LAN ALL NIGHT?

A: WiFi is not provided to attendees. We do have a specific wifi network for VR Headsets, and handheld consoles with justification.

Q: Do y’all meet up at other events?
A: We can be found at plenty of events around the DFW metroplex, between QuakeCon, WeebCon, and DreamHack you can bet that you can find us at other gatherings. Announcements can be found on our social media pages or the events tab on discord.

Q: What if I forget to bring X item? Can I buy one at the event?
A: We will have a select few LAN items on site to borrow, rent, or buy like ethernet cables, power cables, and potentially monitors for a fee, but dont count on them being available from us as they are mostly just leftover items we didn’t use for setup this time. Feel free to ask for help from your fellow community llamas with these items in the LAN Discord.

A: We will have illkat Saturday night after the main raffle.
Q: Will there be food trucks?
A: We do not have food trucks at the venue.

Q: I’m not feeling great should I still come to the event?
A: If you are feeling sick please stay home and let staff know if you believe that you had the bug at our event. You can limit your exposure by wearing a medical mask if you believe that your sickness can be contained by one. We will have plenty of hand sanitizer on site to sanitize with as needed. We also suggest bathing daily, and washing your hands often.

A: Located nearby are the Hyatt Place Grapevine, TownePlace Suites by Marriott, Courtyard by Marriott Dallas DFW, Embassy Suites by Hilton Grapevine DFW Airport North. We currently do not offer any affiliations or discounts with these hotels.
Q: Is parking free?
A: Yes, there is free parking behind the convention center.
Q: How far of a walk is it from the convention area to the hotel?
A: The Convention area is attached to the hotel but it can be anywhere from a 3 min walk to a 10 min walk depending on where your hotel room is located.
